    Try a different book

Used as a textbook in a college class. You can tell it was written by old white guys. Lots of criticism of people that are larger sizes, lots of judgement about how exercising a lot improves how you look. Totally unnecessary and unwelcome editorializing. Aside from that, it’s poorly written. Not recommended.

Had to purchase this book for a physical education class …

Had to purchase this book for a physical education class in college. We were permitted to buy the e-version, which was cheaper, so I did.It has no pages, only arbitrary “locations” that vary in the thousands from arrow-click to arrow-click. Very disappointing way to spend money.

All you need to know about health and fitness

A comprehensive guide to fitness and health. Presents both the arguments for being fit and the prescription to get you there. Found the section on mental and cognitive health most interesting.

    EXTREMELY GOOD PURCHASE

Brian Sharkey has been writing books on fitness and health for 40 years, and I have spent 40 years trying to find the magic formula. This book weighs 1260g and has over 450 pages. American but the science behind it is the same. Although purchased 2nd hand it arrived in an excellent condition. This book must have everything in it, and what it hasn’t isn’t worth knowing.
