    Very organized

    I have been researching hyperstimulation for a few years as there are very few doctors who can treat this issue without medication. This book brings everything I’ve learned into one place plus adds other techniques. I love there is an optional support group which I am on the waiting list for. Healing Your Nervous system while living life today is complex !

    We can heal ourselves

    Main stream medicine in America just pushes talk therapy and pharma meds. Dr. Linnea has a thorough approach at healing from within, bringing our dysregulated nervous systems back into balance. This was such an amazing book, supported by a lot of research. Definitely recommend if you’re someone who struggles with anxiety, depression, PTSD, or trauma.

    Great book so far!

    I haven’t finished the book yet, but that’s because I’m taking it slow as Dr Passaler suggests! I am already finding it helpful, though. Dr Passaler does a great job of explaining nervous system disregulation and offers a comprehensive program towards regulation. I feel intuitively that this program is going to be very helpful, which is why I want to take my time and work through each section slowly.

    Loved this book not only explained what is happening in our bodies but then gave a detail way to heal. So often we can learn what’s wrong but not have the tools to then fix the issue/s. This books truly has already began to help me get my health back on track from years of chronic health issues!

    I’m so glad someone is talking about this…

    When I was reading this book, it felt like Dr. Linnea was talking directly to me and already knew all the symptoms and stressors and sensitivities I’ve been dealing with my whole life. I’m so thankful to have this as a resource while navigating the world as a highly sensitive person!

    Elaborate, neccesary and really good

    So much info about nervous system regulation in one place! As a previously cronically brunt out HSP, I found something resembling an instruction manual for my nervous system in this book. I could finally stop googling, and in stead just immerse myself in these well-written pages with a cup of tea.

    Really excited about this book

    Dr. Linnea’s book, ‘Heal Your Nervous System’, is desperately needed on a global scale. I’ve eagerly awaited its release since the moment she announced her writing it. Today, it arrived and I’m thrilled!I have personally experienced working with Dr. Linnea’s 5-Stage Plan and can attest to the transformative power that comes from fully embracing her method as outlined in this book. Once I learned about nervous system dysregulation it was clear to me how much it impacted every area of my life. It was the root cause of much, if not all, my discomfort (physical, emotional, mental, social, energetic, and spiritual).     We can heal our embodied distress

    I am so grateful for Dr. Linnea’s research and leadership. Life has tossed a lot at me, and I hadn’t understood how pulling myself up and just continuing had allowed a lot to build up in my body. It expresses itself as anxiety and nausea. Now, I have a couple of big challenges, and am following the practices in Heal your Nervous System. These practices and the science behind them are mapped out in steps, each building on the last. She’s clear and offers science- and experience-backed hope and encouragement for dealing with the hard stuff. Steady, steady, one step at a time, with understanding, self-compassion, and gentle intention, I’m caring for myself, people I love, and doing the things that matter most. In listening to and reading Dr. Linnea, I believe this is exactly why she does this work. She knows personally of its importance and is able to contribute to the healing of our world through her work. May we all take what we know and contribute it to the world as she does. This is how, together, we’ll help heal our planet, ourselves, and our relationships. With wishes for soothing and healing for all of us in this world.

    Move from Quick-Fix to Healing

    Wow! This book is the bible on healing quirks in the nervous system that stymy that we never hear or learn about. Why is it important? Many, many health conditions never heal or are adequately addressed because they overlook the critical nervous system.As a practitioner working with people who have chronic health conditions -PTSD, Lyme, Anxiety, Covid, TBI, Sleep Apnea…, I’ve learned how critical it is to to clear up the nervous system dysregulation early.Dr. Linnea Passaler’s book is a gift to be studied and referenced util the pages are worn out. Her 5-Stage Plan to reverse nervous system dysregulation is gold. This is complex stuff. I really like how she includes an assessment followed by descriptions of what is going on.For me and my clients, the most important part is the inclusion of “>>DO THIS” sections for each category we’re working on.Don’t be discouraged by the technical stuff or depth of some of the writing. Once you get into this and gain your understanding of what is going on in your body – you’ll be rewarded by each practice you undertake. Good hormones will flow, smiles return, sleep improve. This work makes awhile, but it is life changing!

    The Road to Nervous System Healing Made Accessible

    In straight-forward, accessible language, Heal Your Nervous System dives into the myriad factors that can drive a dysregulated nervous system and offers a practical, comprehensive and staged process for holistic recovery. I greatly appreciate that this path doesn’t falsely promise a “quick” fix, like so many pop-up nervous system healing programs do, and that Dr. Linnea acknowledges not just the psycho-emotional contributors to dysregulation, but also the equally as significant physiological and spiritual ones as well.The included assessments offer deeper insight, rather than just pigeon-holing symptoms into labeled identities. And I was impressed to read the noted distinction between nervous system sensitivity and nervous system dysregulation, the former of which can be honed and harnessed to be a superpower after all!I think the strength of HYNS’s view of the nervous system is that no aspect is demonized, and there is more nuance and dimensionality to each nervous system state, which is expanded beyond the current norm. The emphasis here is on building awareness of self through curiosity and compassion, while taking ownership and responsibility for the factors that *can* be self-mitigated through safe embodiment, restored resilience and flexibility, cultivated connection and and finally, an expanded capacity for meeting life’s challenges. The reader is not spoken to as a ” broken” patient, narrowed down to the sum of their symptoms, who needs fixing to be made whole.     This made me switch careers.

    So. It dawned on me that i was in full nervous system dysregulation right when i heard this book was coming out. But i had 6 m to wait or so. Then once i forgot about book coming it showed up one day…. since then I’ve redirected my studies to digest all this material. Inside and out. I’m now a much better informed trauma coach and Reiki Master.This truly is a godsend. I know for a fact id be in bad shape had i not gone full send on this book.     Thoughtful, backed by science, well written and well organized

    Absolutely worth it! This book is one of the best resources on nervous system regulation that I have found. It explains very clearly what nervous system dysregulation actually is and how it comes to be, which is such an essential step in learning how to become more regulated. This book is also backed by lots of scientific research and is founded on solid evidence. The author provides practical steps to resetting your nervous system so that you can have more capacity to manage all the stress that is part of our human experience. These steps are logical and not overwhelming which leads to feeling empowered to make lasting change. I highly recommend!The book itself is very high quality and quite beautiful. The pages are thick, the print is easy to read and it does not feel cluttered which makes the reading experience quite enjoyable.

    Incredible book

    I’m finally understanding why my mind and body are so out of whack. I have realized that I have Sensory Processing Disorder. Plus I am a highly sensitive person and an Empath. I have suffered severe losses, my brother took his life, his son and my nephew passed away two years ago and my son (15) took his life March 10, 2023. Losing my son has torn my heart to pieces. All this loss plus my nervous system sensitivities has made me feel mentally and physically exhausted.This book is amazing. I took the test to evaluate my level of nervous system dysfunction. The high level starts at 67 and I scored a 91, yep I got issues. I think so many people are stuck in Fight or Flight and anxiety is through the roof. I know I am. We are not only grieving for our son, but we have PTSD from finding him with a gunshot wound to his head. I have read several books on losing a child and they helped me. This book though gets into what is happening in your body and mind and has exercises to normalize and calm your nervous system. This book is a gem!!!

As she says on page 83, “What started as a journey of healing eventually becomes an ongoing adventure, one in which the stages become deeper and richer as you move through them.”

    I like the book but I don’t like that author refers to assessments that need to be done only online. If I don’t have access to the internet or don’t wish to do it online I am losing this tool. The author should made it available in the book in paper

    Heal Your Nervous System.

    First of all, I need to say thank you to Dr. Linnea for bringing us this book.I have been through the practical aspect of the nervous system portion of the book. It is incredible. I love that it is science based. This book explains how to lay a great foundation to heal your nervous system. Then, it dives into a 5 step plan to achieve this goal.I am very impressed by Dr. Linnea and her team and very optimistic for results to come!

    This book is a lifesaver!

    If you have anxiety or you don’t understand the root cause of why you feel the way you feel, I would definitely check out this book. I highly recommend it. I think that we currently don’t even think about our nervous system when we think about our whole health and the nervous system is where it all starts – it innervates every part of our body. The nervous system is one of the first things to develop when we are a baby in the womb. If our nervous system is dysregulated, then we don’t feel ourselves at all.

    I HAVE FINALLY FOUND MY PATH TO HEALING MY NERVOUS SYSTEM

    I have experienced 7+ years of stress, grief and trauma and explored so many avenues to heal my chronic pain, insomnia, etc. I was finally diagnosed with a nervous system dysregulation and this book along with the online course – I have started the healing process. Nothing else I did in the past helped at all. I feel grateful and blessed to have found my path to healing.

    This book is comprehensive but keeps it simple and doable.

    Awe

    Dr. Linnea has written a book that is well researched. It teaches us that we should be in awe of all life, especially the life within each of us. She takes the reader on journey to better understand and appreciate a holistic life. This journey is more than mind and body. It’s mind, body, spirit, environment, and will to learn from others, past and present. We would all benefit from healing our nervous system.

    I finally feel some ease

    I first found Dr. Linnea’s work on Instagram and started learning more about nervous system regulation before this book came out and I am glad to have this book as reference at home. My favorite part of this book and her program is that there are small things you can do every day to help shift patterns and regulate your nervous system like somatic exercises that are simple to do.These exercises and practices along with the 5 stages has given me a guide and helped me be more patient with myself as I manage my nervous system. The “Do This” section of the chapters are a helpful way to summarize the learnings into simple action steps. After practicing and learning for only 8 weeks with Dr. Linnea and HYNS, I feel a significant shift in my nervous system’s ability to go from a stressed out place to more calm. This a very welcome shift after being in a chronic state of anxiety and worry for so many years. I finally feel some ease.

    Amazing book!! The author gets me!!

    Love this book, I purchased this book after following Dr. Linnea on Instagram for a few months and she had already validated me so many times, helped me in many little ways. When the announcement for the book came, I knew I had to purchase and it hasn’t disappointed. There is soooo much information, I feel like it was written for me. Even though I haven’t finished reading the book, I have learned a lot. She covers a variety of topics: environment, coping methods, nutrition, sensory ,a nervous system assessment and so much more. After years of being told I’m too sensitive, that I should get over it and much more, Dr. Linnea gets me!!! With her help and therapy, I’m doing so much better! I’m definitely taking this book on the road with me when I start driving on the road again. It’s such a great feeling to know that I’m not alone when I often have felt isolated even when with friends and family.

    Ready to HEAL

    I have followed Dr. Linnea on Instagram for a while. I was instantly intrigued the moment I said “that’s me! This is what’s wrong!”I have taken screenshots, I’ve taken notes and AMEN! Now I have my hands on the 5 steps broken down in her new book.For so many years I have struggled with unresolved trauma, health issues, emotional dysregulation and finally I can change my life.     A gentle but effective and practical guide to nervous system regulation

    For anyone not familiar with what is nervous system dysregulation but still struggles with anxiety, panic attacks, unexplainable bodily symptoms, lack of sleep, and restless states, I believe this book will be of great help. It has both an introduction to the topic, a structured program that you can follow, and the author’s personal experience. The structured program must be followed as advised: with care and at your own pace. Each person is unique, and healing our nervous system is a delicate and caring process in which we must practice patience and compassion. With her gentle words and passion for the topic, Dr. Linnea guides us every step of the way. You are not alone.

    Highly recommend this book!

    I’ve been working with various alternative and holistic healing modalities for years and only getting partial relief from symptoms that change over the years (chronic fatigue, digestive problems, anxiety…). I’ve always had a feeling my nervous system needed help but didn’t ever have the guidance I needed to make the changes. This book is the guide! Super practical, motivating, evidence based, but not overwhelming for those of us who are feeling ill. I’m just starting the steps and will update on my progress but I can certainly say at this point you need to get this book if you have unexplained chronic symptoms or recurring symptoms.     Dysfunction and sensitivity has it’s pro’s.

    What I love most about this book is the fact that she explains her life story and shows you the benefits to being a sensitive person. It isn’t all doom and gloom like society likes to paint. We can feel on a much deeper level and this is what makes the world such a beautiful place but only if we can channel it correctly which she gives you ALL the tools you need. I am so happy I found Dr. Linnea and invested my time into her because it’s paying back in ways I never thought possible.We seriously need more people regulated so that we can make the world a better place.

    Profoundly helpful and not overly complicated!

    The day I received this book I opened it and could not put it down. I first saw this on Instagram and had my doubts but was looking for exactly this type of help. I have experienced intense emotional dysregulation for a long time with no clue how to deal with it or why it was happening. I finally have answers and don’t feel like a crazy person. Dr. Linnea also makes this as simple as possible so I did not have any problem understanding her language and it felt like a very comfortable conversation with a friend. If you or someone you know suffers from nervous system related issues I cannot recommend this book more highly!

    Simple and easy read about a fundamental part of our overall well-being

    This book is a “must read.” Dr. Linnea has laid out clear steps for transformational healing and building a coherent life. The research is presented all through this book and integrated through practical step within the 5-stage plan to regulate the nervous system. The mental (psychological), emotional and physical parts of our being is addressed through the nervous system. Dr. Linnea gives a great prelude to the reader to get their mind ready to receive a comprehensive approach in addressing our bodies wholistically. Overall, the reader will gain a healthy and comprehensive relationship with your body, by regulating your nervous system.

    It’s finally here!

    I’ve followed Dr. Linnea Passaler for a long time. The way she explains nervous system regulation is interesting, passionate and helpful. As a highly sensitive person, and the mother of a highly sensitive daughter, this book was a must read. I love the organization of the book, the ease of reading and understanding material and the ability to utilize the tools in it. The book is beautiful from cover to cover. I look forward to continue using her research both in my own life and the lives of my coaching clients. We can all benefit from understanding our bodies better, and the nervous system is in need of some serious love.

    Life changer

    I have not had time to finish this book yet but already wanted to write a review. Dr. Passaler is amazing. The book is easy to read while also brimming over with scientific basis and an enormous amount of varied suggestions to regulate your nervous system. I am thoroughly impressed. I have been able to fall asleep much more quickly after practicing the physiological sigh referenced in this book. I can’t wait to finish and continue to implement the suggestions so clearly layed out in this book.

    A scientifically strong yet approachable guide to healing!

    I am so impressed by this book because it is so approachable and actionable, yet rooted in deep science. I was afraid it would be too basic of an overview, but was blown away by the assessment, the steps to healing, and the guides that were presented in a very clear way. I recommend this book to anyone who is new to nervous system healing, as well as those who have been on their healing journey for a while and want to up-level their practices.

    Completely revolutionized my perspective of having a sensitive nervous system! I now realize it can be a beautiful, even desirable trait when dysregulation is healed and the nervous system is well supported. After reading this book I feel a sense of awe, better understanding of myself and my experience, and deeper connection to my loved ones with similar traits.     Life Changing Information

    This book is extremely informative, very useful and filled with life changing information.Reading this book and learning ways to heal my nervous system as a result has given me so much hope for my future health and long term quality of life.Hint – If you’re not as interested in the science aspects of it all I’d advise you skip straight to chapter 5 for actionable steps.

    Phenomenal resource

    This is not some basic e-book with regurgitated ideas, or full of confusing explanations. This is extremely thorough, to-the-point, and educating yet very easy to understand. I cannot rave enough about how she organizes these ideas to help with awareness (very healing in itself) and further practical steps to healing. The author, Dr. Passaler, is obviously a brilliant person. Grateful for this resource.
